**Some good things happened, quieter moments resonated almost like an Apichatpong Weerasethakul film. The acting was surprisingly authentic from all parts, and the score was pretty interesting. However, I felt as if this film didn’t really have a motivation or clear, concise, delicate storyline. It really steered away into oblivion, like ‘Triangle of Sadness’ did. Sometimes that’s okay, but it didn’t really work for me in this case. I enjoyed the first half significantly more than the second, and to be quite honest, it became a bit of a shit show from that point onwards. Which can be fine, but not in this instance, for me personally. I really don’t like when films start strong and finish weaker, it’s almost worse than a consistently ‘meh’ film: it highlights how much weaker and less enjoyable it actually was compared to the rest of the film. It’s a shame, it had some serious potential, but then some serious flaws.
