A great “whodunit” movie (I googled that) where you’re genuinely invested in the plot rather than just watching. I spent most of the runtime suspecting the wrong people, but eventually figuring it out towards the end.
Poirot guides you perfectly through the movie, with class and the compulsive urge to correct everyone who assumes he’s from France (he’s actually Belgian). I also enjoyed the Nile setting as a whole. In the ending he mentions the Orient Express which send me digging. That one’s directed by Lumet, the man behind 12 Angry Men. Hard not to be excited for this one.
I’ll maybe read the novels by Agatha Christie, although I now already know who the murderers are so the mystery is gone :(
