The near future, a time when both hope and hardships drive humanity to look to the stars and beyond. While a mysterious phenomenon menaces to destroy life on planet Earth, astronaut Roy McBride undertakes a mission across the immensity of space and its many perils to uncover the truth about a lost expedition that decades before boldly faced emptiness and silence in search of the unknown.

this was the most stifled buildup to the most medium sized hill i have ever seen. what was the point of the entire mission? also what was that monkey even there for?

I don’t remember much about this movie except it was boring and (as an astronomer) his space research made no sense! Like actually no sense! I fear they did not consult any scientists. Brad Pitt was hitting the ultra-deep, raspy voice for the full 2 hours but in a Flynn Rider smoldering way.

Ending pissed me off so bad. Had the potential to be a great movie but the dad reveal at the end was awful and pointless
