my brother read agatha christie’s crooked house, but i haven’t gotten to it yet. while i can’t speak on this film as an adaptation, i can focus on its storytelling techniques and quality as a movie.
both my brother and i felt that there was not enough time to flesh out all of the characters, so not all of them could be considered suspects in a compelling way. i also wished we could have learned more about sofia and charles’s relationship prior to the murder. it wasn’t a bad film by any means, but i think it could have been better. i still enjoyed it a lot! christie was a great author and her stories are always interesting.
