Sultry neon-lit romantic noir dramedy about a small group of characters and their intersecting love lives in and around a dive bar in Downtown LA. I don't really know what Alan Rudolph is trying to convey here as the script is a little... all over the place, but there's no denying that the vibes he's concocted are out of this world, and the central trio's adulterous love triangle steeped in listlessness and despair is an engaging watch, even when the writing trips over itself every now and then.
