What I think this film does best lies in the acting capabilities of the entire cast. They are all incredible, and because of that, I really wanted to love the movie; alas, I did not. As I understand it, the main message is that atheism can be, and often is, just as extreme as any religion. That alone is an intriguing concept, but I did not enjoy the failed comedic effect that the film often pushed onto its viewers. The last twenty minutes get very dark with Hazel truly reaching rock bottom, and I found myself most captivated by that portion in particular. I wish that the message were more focused.
