“Pray for His guidance, for I can’t absolve you.”
Wild ride, especially for what I’m pretty sure is my first non-Western Italian film. Bonkers story, loosely based on true events. I thought Anita Ekberg’s performance, while at times a little much, was sexy and terrifying. Overall, pacing was a problem, and the slashing did not live up to my expectations. The madness of it all sort of makes up for it though.
My favorite note I wrote down during the film just says “Old man in a wheelchair getting top in torrential downpour.” Sounds like an Action Bronson lyric.
