The Left Handed Gun
A solid western and an ok entry in Paul Newmans catalogue. Doesn't quite narrow down on the tone it wants, jumping from serious to silly. Was nice to see a Billy the Kid film that isn't totally sensationalised.

I love Newman SO much he’s such a captivating presence whenever he’s on screen! First introduction to Billy the Kid and OH he is so silly and also INSANE?? him and his little throuple was such a good time. and oh the end?? “i’m not him”??? i feel sick. very very scared but excited for the two crossover episodes I have coming up (the outlaw and badman’s country- which everyone says the outlaw is sooooo gay and it’s BILLY X DOC HOLLIDAY??? YOU ARE KIDDING! i will not survive. and Garrett too? insane insane. but it doesn’t look like Doc is in badmans country which sucks but that might be for the better cause i KNOW i won’t be able to handle it anyways with everyone else it’s throwing at me). anyways. i hope everyone gets along and no one shoots each other :) sorry if this is all over the place i can’t handle this at all

I enjoy westerns. I love Paul Newman. This movie was a snooze. I just could not get into it. It’s boring, save for the burning building scene, I just kept wanting it to end already. Maybe not the right frame of mind for this tonight? Anyone else see this one and enjoy it? Shame I was looking forward to it.
