one night long ago at bedtime i looked at my mom and i remember thinking that what we both needed was a mother.
i see this line as a realization that some of parents may dont know how to really parent their child because no one ever taught them. and turns out they both (the child and parents) starving for a warmth that should've been theirs, that they should've received from their own parents.
i love how Cecelia use a fairy tale (Rapunzel) as an emotional symbol of a child who feels trapped. classic Cecelia i guess, she always put a symbol that carries a message you can feel and sometimes its relateable. she's doing such a great job on writing short films and the music is also slaps, of course i love anything with guitar in it. this one is really gooooood
