Better and more enjoyable than I expected, and not just because of the gratuitous amount of beautiful/natural 70s titties.

The contradiction of this film genre is fascinating to me; strong female leads who don’t need men and thrive without them, yet we are forced to view them through a misogynistic male gaze. 

I would kill/die for Pam Grier.

A pretty fun woman's in prison exploitation movie from Jack hill. While I'm more of a fan of the female prisoner scorpion movies in the woman's in prison genre the big doll house is still pretty cool. It takes more of a standard and entertaining formula in the genre but it works.
Pam Grier and sid Haig were pretty cool and fun characters to follow. The other characters were pretty entertaining too especially modine and alcot. The story is pretty fun although nothing new in the genre.
Jack Hill makes the movie feels the right amount of sleazy and fun. I enjoyed this movie quite a bit and it was a fun time.
