Essentially the same movie as I'll See You in My Dreams, but definitely feels like everything that was leftover. It's sweet, it's sincere, and it has some to say about what its like to be at the end of your life and still have hope. Sam Elliott is really good, and so is the supporting cast. It's all very calm, focusing on conversations and people, and as someone who's trying to write something similar, I got some peace. Just a different kind than what Haley is trying to offer.
BONUS POINTS: Nick Offerman and Sam Elliott talking about being on a show together was undoubtedly a reference to Parks and Rec, I'm such a sucker for morning time LA landscape shots, Kristen Ritter is getting really good at playing the neglected daughter (Listen Up Philip).NEGATIVE POINTS: Why is Cameron Esposito in everything, please no more
