Wait. They allow made for tv movies of the 1001 list?
Apparently so!
Does this mean that after school special where the Ninja Turtles, Smurfs and Alvin and the Chipmunks preach against the evils of drug use qualifies also?
But I digress.
This made for TV movie is a generational sins of the father type narrative with Athos Magniani (Giulio Brogi) retuning to his birthplace of Tara in Italy, at the invite of his fathers Mistress Draifa (Alida Valli), to uncover the truth of his anti-fascist father’s un-aliving.
The mystery is decent with an interesting ‘die a hero or live long enough to become the villain’ type ethos, but there is a lot of filler, like the seemingly endless scenes of people of roof tops blowing clarinet notes back and forth.
