Dude, Hollywood needs to recognize that Stephanie Beatriz is one of the most badass actors ever. She doesn’t get casted in enough movies but she is such a star. Drama films can make or break an actor but Stephanie did not back down.
The Light of the Moon is unfortunately based on events that happen in the real world but is handled with so much care that it works. A lot of the camera work and dialogue bring so much emotion to the table. Especially the ones where Bonnie’s ear are like fading out (is that how you phrase it??) and the whole group therapy session scene. It’s very solid and I enjoyed so much that it had to offer. Made me a bit sad that not many have seen this beauty of a film.
