just fucking insane that this whole thing is real. I’m like 90% sure i’ve listened to mayhem without knowing everything before. I really loved how this movie was filmed though. definitely dont know if I could rewatch but this was incredible. whoever did the gore on this fucking set, better have gotten a raise.

I loved this film I don't care if it's corny

I get why people think it's cringe but u gotta understand these people were NOTTT cool outside of their community their supposed to be weird to the general public that's the whole thing

I also get people being upset about the inaccuracies, but this film was never marketed or described as the full story it's highly dramatized
I fear one of the first things we see is "based on the truth, THE LIES, and what actually happened"

I do feel like the writers and director favor Euronymous which I understand this movie is in his pov, but he was a piece of shittt and they do show that in some ways (like the obvious taking pics of Dead/Pelle after he committed, and him being controlling) but In other ways they try to make him seem way more innocent than he was
For example - making it seem like he cared about Dead/Pelle and was friends with him + giving him a girlfriend to make him seem more "humane" and "vulnerable"

if your a huge Mayhem fan then obviously you won't like this movie,
but if your watching it just to watch it or ur a more casual Mayhem fan I think most people will think it's okay

This might become one of my fav movies despite the bad things about it I really loved this

Gnarly movie. A band who got lost in their own satanic sauce. Gory asl in a few scenes, but I didn’t think it was over done. Very nice introduction to black metal for me though. A lot of cool looking shots and a wicked tone throughout.
