This was on my Movies I Never Finished List and I'm not sure why I never got back to it, but despite not finishing it, one idea from it has haunted me for years: someone talks about how every time you remember something, you're not remembering it, but rather the last time you remembered it, so each time the memory fades more and more because it's just a copy of a copy. What a horrible sentiment that must be true. I try not to think about it.
This is really unsettling and wonderful and something I should truly love and maybe would if I sat down and gave the whole thing my undivided attention. Something about the tone is so off-putting to me, probably deliberately, that I can't quite get in its groove. Something I'll likely appreciate more when I'm older.
