Well, the movie's fun and most importantly it's got atmosphere. Most stuff they make now is flat and doesn't pull you into its world at all, but this one's genuinely good. The opening is awesome like an old movie, the casting, the music, the cinematography, you can really feel the vibe of that time and that's really cool

Why's this so unknown, the director is very known and the cast is stacked?

Why's this so unknown, the director is very known and the cast is stacked?

I understand why these actors would want to work with Linklater. I understand Linklater doing a project with these great actors. BUT, why are we choosing this story. It doesn’t mesh with what Linklater is good at doing. The mesh of being serious and playful doesn’t work for this movie. I think the moral of the story is Linklater should stick to what he’s good at, and that is not true stories.

As most can probably tell by now. I’m a sucker for this era in movies and definitely a sucker for true crime biopics so I was bound to like this. I love all these actors and this story is nothing new or special but it’s still a great time.
