Objectively, disappointing. There was so much potential in the cast that was put to waste. The screenwriting failed them which I guess is the reason why it isn’t a cult classic now. Even the title is completely forgettable. This being a two-hour film just makes it worse.
Subjectively, Lisa (Reese Witherspoon) was hot. I like how she looked more casual and chill compared to her other roles. That was quite refreshing. Also, I totally get her having complex feelings for 2 guys. I originally rooted for Matty (Owen Wilson) because he was charming and he genuinely tried to make things work but the scriptwriters worked harder on his downfall. Plus, I wasn’t fully convinced with the chemistry between Lisa and George (Paul Rudd).
Annie’s (Kathryn Hahn) scene in the hospital is the best part and it’s not even focused on the main cast lmao
Objectively, bad. Subjectively, better than Sweet Home Alabama.
