A film reminiscent of Solaris. This is Nakajima's so far final film and a film I feel is worth so much, a film that although heavily plot driven compared to his other 2 films is one that the audience must feel rather than understand.
Nakajima is a director I never heard of until recently, but his films give me inspiration and my fondness for them are large. So many words are deserved for these films, but I find my loss of words instead. Bravo to Nakajima.

Transcendental so much to the point that I felt as if I was an invisible ghost going on a journey with him,As if I was the one who died on the space. there was this eerily empathic closeness with the character, at the end of the film I felt deeply attached with kohei. I wonder if the shared human condition and concepts of identity is the culprit.
The film has this dreamlike quality to it ,filled with nostalgia memories and the notion of life , death regret and rebirth.
There was this resonance that strung me whenever I recalled the film. Truly a cathartic experience.
Unlike most generic sci-fi films that plans on saving humanity and fighting aliens with high-tech futuristic machine guns,
This film takes a different turn to this genre,
It focuses more on the individual experience that sums up every human experience and creates an existential theme blending science , the supernatural and its relation with mankind.
Ending note : DO NOT EVER TRUST THE GOVERNMENT
