How I hate you James Tyrone, not everything is your fault, but these things could only have happened because of you
Katharine Hepburn is amazing again, playing an addicted mother who keeps her eyes on the happy past and on what could have been if she had followed her dreams. It’s not my favorite movie of hers, but this one and “The Lion in Winter” are my favorite performances. She portrayed Mary so well, the way her face changes in a second, the way her body speaks her feelings, just incredible. Now that I’ve watched it, I’m even more fascinated by the 1963 Oscars, when we had Bette Davis, Anne Bancroft and Katharine Hepburn with amazing performances, what a time to be alive. (yes, I’m a little obsessed with the 1963 Oscars)
