all the best parts of golden age hollywood in terms of melodrama and romance, with a lovely, lush and mountainous backdrop. i cannot believe this little gem is so easily forgotten, because its really good.
my only complaint is that its a tiny bit small in scope (its not much more than a romance), jubal is without a flaw, and naomi’s only purpose is to keep jubal safe when he runs away.
otherwise i think its kinda perfect. sue me!
