Iconic Italian movie, accurate depiction of the American Dream in Italy after WW2, as the Americans were seen as the saviors.

This performance by Sordi is, for me, the best he gave in his career and one of the best comedic performances ever. He reaches new peaks of comedy, every face, every phrase it's Iconic. and the movie itself as so many great sequences, like the rant on top of the colosseum or the war period. This movie is a picture of an American Dream that for too long haunted Italians and Europe and just now we are getting out of it, but is being Americano is being like Santi Bailor, then we are all a little Americani
