Irreverent city engineer Behzad comes to a rural Kurdish village in Iran to keep vigil for a dying relative. In the meanwhile the film follows his efforts to fit in with the local community and how he changes his own attitudes as a result.

This film had some great shots, the framing of it all was so inspiring. Very French New Wave vibes and incredibly poetic. It is slow and I can see that putting people off but like I said if you like French New Wave then you’ll be in good company with this contemplative Iranian banger!
