An exquisite balance of appalling peak Iraq-war propaganda with plot holes everywhere but also is just sick as hell with the goofiest actors and perfectly over-dramatic lines and shot with such style.
The fact that it takes itself so seriously just adds to the accidental masterpiece of it all. He really thought that final scene and line was gonna create world peace.
Cameos in this are top of the line:
- Tim McGraw cries, is racist, and then dips
- Dollar Bill from Billions with a full head of hair and low key a twink
- Minka Kelly with a meaningless part and one line
- Kyle Chandler dead after 30 seconds on screen
