Did the subtlety factory explode?
It’s honestly not THAT DISGUSTING OR BAD.
But the story fails to convey a proper message with the amount of disturbing and near fetishistic imagery it depicts, let alone it fails to justify its own existence.
the film is a victim of its own message. Where it depicts these vile acts and attempts to critique or commentate on them while by the end all it does is justify it.
I was lowkey scared of being too disgusted and my night being ruined but really I am just disappointed at how blunt a message can be yet still be so wrong.
This wishes it was torture porn or whatever the fuck Salo is. And on the other side of the spectrum this wishes it was the substance.
But really this is just mid.
