Supesharu ressun: Hentai sei-kyôiku
By the way, it seems like there are various cuts of this film. The version I watched was a subbed low-quality rip with a runtime of 59:21, which makes it significantly longer than some of the copies other people seem to have seen. I'm not an expert on the subject, but I'm glad to have seen an apparently complete version of the film.

English-language title given as Special Lession: Perverted Sex Education aka The Gods Have a Nervous Breakdown.

Hell of a title. Apocalyptic occult lesbian past life vampire/murderer stuff. Spirits and VHS tapes that mystically force you to lose control and unequal relationships that follow you through reincarnations and your teacher earning her red wings on you and the incoming end of the world.

I absolutely love the lighting in this film. Harsh, gloomy. In the first sex scene, there's a moment where the lighting creates a sort of lit outline across the obscurity of her body. All throughout, it helps establish a powerful dreamlike atmosphere. There are even some rather chilling shots, in particular in Eto's voyeur scene where she watches Akiko fuck her husband through a crack in the door. (On that point, note below that just before this scene, Akiko has had an erotic dream where Eto intends to sleep with her husband. We later have it confirmed that Akiko knew Eto was watching.)

In the best moments, the soundtrack is also a particular strength. The finale of the film is transcendent to me.

A word on bodily contortions. Sometimes, when I watch pinku, I see an actress use these outrageous bodily contortions, or the actor with her will put her body in some crazy position. A lot of the time, these contortions make no sense and end up making the scene way less believable and less erotic. But in this, they really nail it. In the first sex scene, every way she contorts her body feels completely natural, something done to heighten the eroticism of the moment rather than because that's just how you act in a pinku. Eto's masturbation scene a little bit later is great as well, she moves like she's thinking of some particular fantasy we don't have represented on screen.

The husband is slightly emasculated in this film, since he seems to handle all the domestic chores in the home. In the night, Akiko has the beginnings of an erotic dream about her husband being taken away by Eto, and immediately feels the need to reclaim him, which is of course structurally a traditionally masculine cuckolding fantasy (I use fantasy here both in the connotation of a sexual fantasy, and in the traditional connotation of an imaginary event, and the capacity to create such an event to realize some need or fear). In the end, it turns out that Kyoko has been taken away from Eto by Kyoko's own husband, apparently a vampire who has made her betray Eto.

She's just looking for allies to fight with during the last war. This movie's incredible. Accomplishes more in an hour as a porno than most films manage in two or three.

Please, don't think less of me for giving five stars to a pinku.

"I am the returning spirit of Jei..." "Jei?" "My name in a past life."
