Cage and that one chick from The Craft are a grieving couple, who purchase a motel in the hopes that a fresh start may invigorate their troubled marriage. When Cage discovers a network of two way mirrors allowing him his own personal hotel room peep show, his voyeuristic tendencies go into overdrive with potentially deadly consequences.
This is an effectively creepy concept with overtures to both Psycho and Vacancy, but the film aims more for the level of a ‘90s erotic thriller. While these is some spicy content, in particular a steamy session of the ‘yes Mistress’ variety with singer Kassia Conway and Smosh regular Kimmy Jimenez, there is no actual nudity, leaving us in some weird void between the underwear section of the K-Mart catalogue and that well worn copy of Playboy’s Book of Lingerie kept under your mattress.
This was directed by Tim Hunter, who was responsible for the best Non-Lynch episodes of Twin Peaks, including the episode where Laura’s killer is finally apprehended and the dark teen thriller River’s Edge with Dennis Hopper and Keanu Reeves.
