If we look at it in only the film universe, what the hell was Bianca supposed to do, not fall in love with Lars (it's Ethan Hawk, like be reasonable. I know that IRL he wasn't hot, but come on). Second off, it wasn't that bad, they played cards, small chatted, it seemed fine, they even got tampons and cigarettes. No one died, it's not that deep.
