Oh! My poor nerves!
I’m currently on a journey to watch every P&P adaptation since I am absolutely obsessed with the 2005 version.
It’s very hard to not compare the two but these two are very different from each other that I was able to enjoy this one for what it is. First of all, I loved the comedy! Everyone was so incredibly funny I couldn’t help giggling.
I loved Greer Garson! I really enjoyed her portrayal of Elizabeth & she was just absolutely stunning.
& Laurence Olivier was such a different Mr. Darcy! I really loved him by the end of it. He was not as broody as MacFadyen (I am so in love with his Mr. Darcy, it hurts) but he was so much warmer! It really was such a different experience.
Overall this was very enjoyable! but the 2005 version is going to be very hard to beat for me.
