As this year's cannes has started (My goat park chad wook is the president of the jury btw😤) I have decided to watch all the palme d'or winners, I will try to rank them after I complete all of them.
Premiered in the first edition of Cannes film festival. I only got to know about the vast and major influences of Cecil B.demille on filmmaking in America today. He is one of the founding fathers of Hollywood and played a big role in making it the film capital of the world. He was also one of the co-founders of Ampas which is oscars. I will be sure to watch more of his films.
Coming to the film, this was more entertaining than I expected it to be. The main problem of the film I feel is though it's enjoyable it feels bland and 30 mins too long. Also didn't like the way native Americans were shown in such a derogative way.
Could have been a 3.5 if not for these problems.
