Rather interesting to watch this now, especially what's happening in Hollywood with the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements. Clark Gable's character is very equivalent to a powerful man in Hollywood and I feel the romance in this film isn't really earned because of it. Gable is always a charm to watch on screen but his character here seems a bit forceful to MacDonald's character. By the end, she has fallen in love with him and it doesn't seem right to me. It does seem a bit predictable at first until a certain incident happens in the third act that is problematic and a bit out-of-nowhere to fit right into the story. It did feel like a breeze though, as it's got some pretty steady pacing, and all of the performances were decent. It's not a classic but it's enjoyable.
