This is the 400th movie I've seen this year!
Although Dames isn't as good as Blondell, Keeler and Powell's other musicals. This trio still works well and is enjoyable to see, Busby Berkeley never disappoints.
I also find it funny how in this wonderful trio, Dick Powell and Ruby Keeler were constantly thrown together as love interests while in actual fact, Joan Blondell was married to Dick. So it kinda feels like Joan is third wheeling her own husband in all of these movies 😭

As Busby Berkeley films go, this movie is fun but fine. Though most of the performances aren’t anything to get excited about, I do like Guy Kibbee a lot in this. And of course the dance numbers are magical but not anything too crazy.
