Funny concept and a genuinely good bit in theory (and Phoenix is really good at the role) but does not come across well in practice at all. Ends up dragging beyond belief, the yelling which never really is too comedic to begin just becomes unbearable, and all in all ends up being a YouTube doc I’d probably DNF. There’s not really any scenes that will stick with me as funny other than Phoenix playing progressively awful songs for Diddy (yikes) and that aged like milk for blatantly obvious reasons. The Stiller cameo is decent too.
5/10, and tbh it’s probably worse but as a fan of a good bit I’ll give it a slight benefit of the doubt. Tim Robinson would do it better as a 7 minute sketch on ITYSL though but maybe I just wasn’t there in 2008 (I was 4 years old!) so I won’t get it fully.
