I watched this not really knowing much about it. I dont even remember how I discovered it. At first, after reading some reviews beforehand(which I need to stop doing), I thought I probably would not like this and I felt this way for like the first 20 minutes of the film but then I unexpectedly grew to really like it. The story is about this guy, Reed who has a desire to commit the perfect murder which he has calculated extensively beforehand. He wants to murder an unsespecting escort, played by Mia Wasikowska, but she ends up out-freaking him. I wasn't aware this was a horror movie so the scene where she starts stabbing herself shook me to my core but I ended up really loving Jackie as a character. She has a manic pixie dream girl-esque energy about her but she subverts the 'victim' trope that she had in the begining and reveals her own complex, unconventional desires to Reed
