easily the most underrated movie i’ve watched in awhile if not ever.
there’s definitely some bias coming from a Affleck superfan but i think anybody into films can love the slow atmospheric vibe to this.
Just to erupt in the ending leaving a satisfying conclusion and a great callback with the last line.

the real action started 20 minutes before the end of the movie but it was so good that it deserved one more star tho

This movie's opening sequence sums it all up: A father giving his daughter a "bedtime" story for ten uninterrupted minutes should have put the child and any moviegoer to slumber within the first 3 minutes. This movie is a blatant, pointless knockoff of The Road (2009) a significantly superior picture that lacks any drama or tension. Premise: an epidemic that has wiped out the female population of the globe, without any expansion or background is given to even feign some semblance of credibility. The viewer prays to God that it truly is the end of the world as the movie meanders and stumbles toward its conclusion. A complete waste of time.
