Starts out much like Ms. 45, a movie I watched last year and loved. A study of violent trauma responses in the guise of a revenge fantasy film. But everything that goes unsaid in Ms. 45 is said, and said often, in The Brave One, to the point of becoming a ponderous bore.
But about half way through it starts losing steam, I think it gets bogged down in the all the radio station scenes. That all feels like a different movie.
And then to top it all off we spin full circle back around from being a deconstruction of the revenge fantasy to just pure revenge fantasy with that absurd ending.
