Very tame and non-Italian with a few nice practical effects. Linda Blair feels under utilized and David Hasselhoff comes off as just himself. That said, this is the type of stuff Hollywood should do remakes of, instead of beloved cult-classics, because there are some good elements in here that could make for a good film.

I love haunted house movies and I love haunted hotel movies just as much. This one isn’t heavy on the scares but it does have some cringe worthy special effects, including a gruesome lip sewing scene that’s been in my head since I saw this 20 plus years ago. Linda Blair and David Hasselhoff are pretty good here even if it’s not the horror classic I thought it was.
