A sparse, minimalist world where apocalyptic futures are communicated in dreams. This doesn’t quite stick the landing as well as it should, but overall it’s got a great atmosphere and I love the minimalist style. 

Really wish there was a blu ray release of this, I watched it on YouTube and the quality sucked and this just feels like a movie id wanna rewatch a lot.

Also, I just watched an edit of this movie that made me realize a NieR type soundtrack would have fit this way better than the actual soundtrack does. The soundtrack is still good, but damn that shit would have gone crazy

What if Ted Kaczynski was a magic apocalyptic, prophecy dragon? 

Ight so the good and bad.

BAD: it’s really not got a ton to say and is pretty much just a bunch of cool fights with some pretty average story.

GOOD: despite being just kind of cool anime fights, this film has some pretty fucking Ballsy story structure. It basically just drops you into some incomprehensible, arthouse dream, cacophony, and barely gives you any sort of background on what’s happening but kind of in a good way. The visuals are absolutely ridiculous Some absolutely unhinged and insane Shit is happening pretty much 24 seven on screen. The fuck you figure it out Story structure Combine with Art house level insane visual storytelling is a pretty great combination, even if it doesn’t have anything else really going for it.

Is this good? Not really but I do have quite a bit of respect for it and there’s definitely some really cool ideas to take away from this filmmaking wise.
