Spine #71
My first ever experience with Mozart’s The Magic Flute and it is truly breathtaking, to say the least. What Bergman did here by blurring the lines between live performance and film is a sight to behold. During intermission, we see the actors backstage going over their lines, we constantly cut to audience members reactions, and yet, there’s these fantastical moments that bring us into the world of the opera, leaving the stage behind.
