An incredibly uncomfortable, deeply visceral experience. I’ve never set foot in a Thai prison, but the film expertly captures an overwhelming sense of dread and hostility. The intentional lack of translated dialogue perfects that "fish out of water" isolation. Immaculately shot (big props for that tattoo scene!!) and a career-best performance from Joe Cole.
Remind me to never ever ever get arrested in Thailand.
