Miriam Hopkins plays one of the most annoying characters in the history of film and she does it very convincingly. Bette Davis is good, as always, and I actually kind of like the premise - the title is, thankfully, a bit of a misnomer and this actually isn’t just about a woman who could never find anyone to marry her. It’s got its melodrama, but that’s the point and I actually enjoyed it.
