Basically a mix of shitty, blank-faced animation and the depressive, bleak post-apocalyptic stylings typical of the genre, only minus whatever spark that can potentially make it work. I'm a real sucker for all things Godzilla, but for me, this film didn’t have much to offer. What an incredibly forgettable, surface level, and bland snooze-fest.

There’s a lot wrong with this movie, but it’s not nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I feel like anytime I’ve ever seen a discussion about this movie, or its sequels, the general consensus is to not even bother watching them because of how terrible they are. I am pretty close to having watched every Godzilla movie at this point, with only 4 left (and Singular Point) and this was nowhere near the worst Godzilla movie.
