Kitano’s films work really well because of the tonal shifts exemplified in Sonatine (Cold/Reserved into Warm/Jovial then ends with a destitute and sullen tone)as well as his most recent film Broken Rage (Mixing Action with Absurdist comedy) but this one doesn’t really feature that. I still enjoyed my time though

Still sick. This movie utterly fucking ruled though.

Some amazing compositions in this thing. And a great soundtrack.

It's a shame about Otomo's buddy, though.

If you’re a fan of crime movies or “Beat” Takeshi’s oeuvre, ‘Outrage Coda’ and the previous two chapters in the trilogy come very highly-recommended.
