She Shoots Straight

S tier action. Normally I would say there needed to be one more action scene, but the narrative , though very melodramatic, was engaging enough that I never felt like I was just waiting for the action to happen.
The kind of movie you can make you girlfriend watch and she will enjoy it . Girl power!

Surprisingly entertaining with a good amount of drama and endearing characters! Good action with a little bit of cheese, and the fact you have a character just take enough hits to be like “it ain’t worth it” which is something you rarely see in action films makes this possibly one of my fave Hong Kong action films to date!

Probably deserves a spot on in the rafters of the Hong Kong Action Hall Of Fame.

 My 9/11 is that we did not make Carina Lau and Joyce Godenzi the two biggest action stars in the world alongside Jackie and Sammo. We should’ve had 5 movies starring the four of them. It’s a real “Dudes with a Time Machine: I’m your grandson; me with a Time Machine: Joyce Godenzi please don’t retire in 1991” moment. A real mark whalberg “if I’m in that room when she decided to retire, it wouldn't have gone down like that” moment.

All that to say, this is so good. Non stop action save for a melodrama middle portion, awesome stunts, charming characters, and above all incredible choreography.
