I desperately wanted to like this, nay, love this. I adore the source comic from the writer/director Arthur de Pins. Unfortunately, this film seemed determined to rough out the edges from the comic and turn into an awkward family film, which I feel made the film lose the niche presented by the comic. Instead, we get a lot of lowest common denominator content, including a faux Edward Cullen antagonist and some toothless faux pop rock for the musical theme.
It's hard for me to say this as a fan, but while this is not a bad film by any means, it's likely going to be completely gone from my memory in a day or two...
