Plot wise… why would anybody attempt to connect a story about the long lasting effects of the holocaust to a manic pixie dream girl-esque failed love story where nobody has any real character development?

If i had a nickel for every claire danes character that said a holocaust victim was lucky then id have two... yk the rest. All these stars are for claire danes because even in the crapiest of movies you can bet she will be acting her butt off

one star for jude law, one star for rsl being the sexiest grim reaper. that daisy daisy song is fucking horrific i hate it.
don’t understand why she is acting more traumatised than her grandmother who was literally in auschwitz.
