OH THE HUMANITY….bureau.
This 2017 post apocalyptic sci fi effort has an interesting concept. The world has gone to shit, presumably under the rule of a red capped orange tinted blowhard (his face and slogan is prominently featured early), leaving in place a kind of super-ICE, aka the titular Humanity Bureau , who assess residents on their productivity and deport any and all who don’t apply.
Cage is a Bureau agent, whose begins to question the humanity element of his employer, when tasked with deportation of single Mum Rachel (Sarah Lind) and her son Lucas (Jakob Davies).
As Cage absconds with the duo he is pursued by chrome domed former bestie Adam (Hugh Dillon).
The Bureau elements are of interest and a little more as to the why and wherefore of their methodology could have made for some interesting world building. Once the escape happens this pretty much follows a ‘seen it all before’ post apocalyptic trajectory.
