lullaby. lulled me to sleep at times.
“when i watch films by hou hsiao-hsien, edward yang or tsai ming-liang, i always fall asleep. years later, my films put audiences to sleep. i think maybe there's a special power to these films that takes viewers to a different world, a different state of relaxation, where we can leave ourselves behind. film transports us to a dream world then as we wake up, we're still there, almost like a unique voyage.”
