Went blind into this movie and gotta say I love it

A totally fine movie that I probably would have enjoyed more if I had all the political and cultural context.
Some great musical moments.
Maybe a little too much going on. Feels like Rajnikanth does not do as much in this as you would imagine .

kumaru yaar ivaru

This is one of the biggest movies I’ve ever seen. Ever frame has at least 2,000 people in it it seems, the fight scenes are superhero-level grand, Rajinikanth is such an obvious star and is so fun to watch. 

This movie feels like the perfect intro to Indian cinema, as someone who is barely dipping their toes in. I can’t wait to get to more.
