that was tremendous. as this picture followed Lenin’s final days, he had endured 3 strokes, was almost completely paralyzed, bordering senility, faced constant abuse and exploitation, and was bound to a wheelchair. this film did not shy away from those harsh realities. the imagery, writing and overall atmosphere reflected his current state, as it was dark, gloomy, dismal, melancholic, and confusing, whilst being a fantastic and fascinating picture about arguably the most misunderstood, and perhaps my favorite politician of all time. to this day his transformative policy and ideology echoes throughout much of the world. a great film about an even greater man
