more interesting to talk about than to watch
I was completely lost watching this at first. Nothing really connects, the dialogue feels off, and it honestly just feels unfinished. But once I found out that Godard shot the footage during the Paris floods and only added the story later through voice-over, it started to make more sense. I still didn’t enjoy the experience, but I can appreciate the idea behind it.
At the very end the voice-over just goes “this is a film by François Truffaut and Jean-Luc Godard” and I couldn’t stop laughing it’s ridiculous
